Housing Market on the Rise in Putnam County
According to the National Association of Realtors, last year was not a good time to buy or sell a home. So what’s the market like for buyers and sellers today? Old Colony Marketing Representative Ava Crum said now is not a buyers or sellers market, it’s a good time for everyone. “It’s extremely good. It might not be quite as good as it was in the spring but I have probably sold 40 percent more that I normally do in a year’s time,” Crum said. Crum said on average last year in Putnam County, a home sold for $183,000. But this year, the average has bumped up to $204,000.
